Atlanticas cross Canada-US border

January 5, 2008

Canadian economist and historian Robin Neill (2007) argues that there are a number of “Atlanticas” that naturally cross the Canada-US border. Neill claims that the emergent Atlantica, the Halifax- New York-Montreal triangle is a logical conclusion of the historical Atlantica, in fact it is its continental destiny. Another Atlantica runs south of the St. Lawrence River and the Great Lakes, reaching westward to Buffalo.
